OPERATION: SAVE THE PLANET
We’re committed to sustainable practices at every level of our business. We use renewable energy to power our lab and office, we source our ingredients from sustainable farms, and focus our resources on Zero Waste practices.
In our product development process, we’ve created the 5 E’s Rule. Everything we create must be:
1. Environmental
- Is this product derived naturally, with no synthetic chemicals?
- Can it be used safely in and for the outdoors, with no negative consequences to the environment if left behind?
- Does it produce any negative by-products or pollution? If so, it’s gotta go.
- Can it biodegrade safely and naturally within 1 month?
100% of our Net Profits are Donated to 1 Tree Planted and the Bee Conservancy
By using FOR THE TREES products over typical commercial products, our customers effectively reduce their carbon footprint with each purchase.
Everytime you purchase our products over the typical commercial option, 100% of the net profits from your purchase goes to 1 Tree Planted and the Bee Conservancy. We’re also a part of 1% for the Planet, so an additional 1% of all our sales goes to making the planet a better place for all of us
- 1 Tree Planted is a non-profit organization that plants trees all over the world.
- The Bee Conservancy is a non-profit organization that protects and restores bees which helps to pollinate and repopulate wild habitats.
- 1% For The Planet is a a global non-profit organization that combines multiple sustainable efforts, funded by the top environmentally conscious organizations in the world
Plastic Free, Sustainable and 100% Post Consumer Recycled Packaging
All of our products are packaged in 100% plastic free and post consumer recycled materials. This means that our packaging is made from recycled materials, such as cardboard and paper.

Road to BCorp Certification
We are currently undergoing the rigorous road and process to get to B Corp Certification.
B Corp certification is a rigorous process that assesses a company's social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. To become B Corp certified, FOR THE TREES must meet high standards in five key areas:
- Governance: we must have a mission that balances profit and purpose, and its governance structure must be designed to support that mission.
- Workers: our work environment must have a fair and supportive work environment for our employees, with competitive wages and benefits, as well as opportunities for professional development.
- Community: FOR THE TREES must be a good neighbor, investing in our local community and supporting social and environmental causes.
- Environment: our company must act to minimize negative environmental impacts and support sustainable practices.
- Customers: We must be transparent with our customers about our social and environmental performance, and we must sell products and services that are good for people and the planet.
As you can see FOR THE TREES has built a foundation that already meets B Corp Certifications high standards, and we will continue to commit to these high standards.
We are currently in the process of completing the B Corp certification process, and expect to clear all categories with flying colors. We expect to be granted our certification once the process is completed later this year.
